Historic Downtown
Leesburg’s Historic Downtown is the cultural heart of the community. As the county seat of one of the fastest growing counties in the United States, Leesburg faces significant pressures from the demand for new development.
Our future hinges upon on-going efforts to sustain and enhance the Historic Downtown as a place to create new investment opportunities while maintaining its authentic charm and character.
Getting Here
Nestled between the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Potomac River, Leesburg enjoys the best of both worlds – the peaceful tranquility of the country and the bright lights of the city. Located on the western edge of the Washington DC metropolitan area, Leesburg is just 15 miles from Washington Dulles International Airport and less than an hour from downtown DC.
How to Get to Leesburg . . .
By CarÂ
Leesburg can be reached by U.S. Route 15, State Route 7, or the Dulles Greenway Toll Road. Click here for driving directions.

The Town is also accessible via the W&OD Trail, a hiking/biking trail that runs from Arlington to Purcellville, Virginia, along the bed of the former Washington & Old Dominion Railroad.

Meter bags are available for $14 per day per space to reserve on-street parking for special events or loading/unloading when time periods longer than two hours are needed.
