Airports

With its location at the western terminus of the Dulles Greenway Toll Road, Leesburg enjoys excellent access to Washington Dulles International Airport, just 15 minutes away.

In addition, the Leesburg Executive Airport, one of the region’s busiest general aviation airports, provides businesses with further transportation options into and out of the area.

Public Transportation

Local Routes
Loudoun County Transit operates the local bus service in Leesburg and eastern Loudoun County. The three Leesburg routes, plus the 7-to-7-on-7, which provides service from Leesburg to Sterling, have a central transfer hub at the Loudoun County Government Center  in the Historic Downtown.  Most of the routes operate Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  In addition, the Village at Leesburg route operates on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Commuter Routes 
Loudoun County Transit also provides commuter bus service from Leesburg to the West Falls Church Metro Station, Rosslyn, the Pentagon, and Washington DC.

Water & Sewer

Downtown Parking

Town Hall Garage

The Town Hall Garage, located beside the Leesburg Town Hall, has over 300 parking spaces and is available for public parking at all times.

The first two hours in the Town Hall Garage are free. Each additional hour (or portion of an hour) is $1.00, with a $10.00 maximum daily. Drivers should keep their ticket with them after entering the garage and pay at one of the kiosks before exiting. All three kiosks accept credit and debit card payments. The kiosk by the elevator also accepts cash payments. Parking at the Town Hall Garage is free after 7:00 p.m. during the week, all day on weekends and on holidays. Enter the Town Hall Garage from either West Market Street or Loudoun Street, between King Street and Wirt Street.

The Town of Leesburg offers monthly rental of a limited number of reserved ($65/month) and unreserved ($45/month) parking spaces in the Town Hall Garage.  Please see the Finance Department’s Parking Permits page for more information.

Church Street Parking Lot

The Church Street parking lot offers 44 pay-to-park spaces, including two handicapped accessible spaces, available for public use. Pay-to-Park hours are Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm, at $1.50 per hour. Parking is free on weekends, holidays and after 5pm on weekdays. The pay station accepts cash (bills and coins) and major credit cards (VISA, MasterCard and Discover). Patrons can also pay using the Parkmobile app on their smartphones (see link to app below).

Liberty Street Parking Lot

The Liberty Street parking lot is located at the intersection of Liberty and Royal streets, just three blocks from the heart of the Historic Downtown.  Parking is free and available to the public at all times in this lot, however parking is limited to 48 hours.

Loudoun County Garage

The Loudoun County Garage, located behind the County Government Building, has over 400 parking spaces.  On weekdays until 5pm, garage parking is reserved for County employees and customers. After 5pm during the week, all day on weekends and on holidays, parking is available and free to the public.  The entrance for the Loudoun County Garage is on Loudoun Street, just west of Harrison Street.

On-Street Parking 
There are approximately 70 metered parking spaces located throughout downtown Leesburg. On-street parking costs $1.50 per hour, for a maximum of two hours in most locations.  Meters are monitored from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.  On-street parking is free after 5pm on weekdays, all day on weekends and on holidays.  During the week, we highly suggest you park at the Town Hall Parking Garage instead – it’s less expensive and the garage is centrally located to most downtown destinations.

Meter bags are available for $14 per day per space to reserve on-street parking for special events or loading/unloading when time periods longer than two hours are needed. Bags for parking spaces may be purchased for up to one week at a time on a first-come, first-served basis. Bags must be purchased in person at the Finance Counter on the first floor of Town Hall.
