  1. Stock Up on Late-Summer Produce at the Farmers Market

Tomatoes, peaches, peppers, melons and more! This is a great time of year to visit the Leesburg Farmers Market and see what’s in season. Stop by on a Saturday morning to stock up on locally grown produce, baked goods and other finds from local vendors. And don’t worry when the cooler weather hits, the Leesburg Farmers Market is open year-round!

  1. Shop the Sidewalk Sale & Tag Sale

Spend September 11th – 13th hunting for a deal during The Leesburg Movement’s Annual Sidewalk Sale & Tag Sale. Downtown businesses will be getting in on the fun with specials and sidewalk shopping, making it a great excuse to stroll downtown, pop into your favorite shops and discover somewhere new along the way. New this year, check out the Tag Sale with thrift and vintage vendors at Town Hall (Saturday only).

  1. Catch a Loudoun United Game

Still on a soccer kick from the World Cup? Spend one of the last warm evenings of the season cheering on Loudoun United FC at Segra Field. Grab some food, find your seat and enjoy professional soccer right here in Leesburg. The season continues into October, so there are still several opportunities to catch a home match this fall.

  1. Picnic at a Town Park

Pick up lunch or takeout from a local restaurant and head to one of Leesburg’s parks for an easy afternoon outside. Art lovers can explore the sculptures at Raflo Park, while Ida Lee Park offers plenty of space to spread out and enjoy some peace and quiet. Bringing the kids?   1. Attend the Crossroads Music Festival

Fill your weekend with live music during the Crossroads Music Festival, September 18th – 19th. The festival kicks off Friday evening at the Town Green before moving to Tally Ho Theater on Saturday. Enjoy two days of live performances and celebrate the local music scene right here in downtown.

  1. Catch a Sunset from a Rooftop

Take in one of those late-summer sunsets with a view of Leesburg from above. Head to The Crow’s Nest or visit the rooftop at Hotel Burg, which is open to the general public on Wednesdays and First Fridays. Grab a drink, settle in and watch the sun go down over town.

  1. Look to the Skies at the Leesburg Airshow

Head to Leesburg Executive Airport on September 26th for the Leesburg Airshow. Spend the day checking out aircraft displays and watching aerial performances overhead at one of Leesburg’s signature annual events.
